Easy Raw Food Recipe Secret - How to Make Healthy Pineapple Ice Cream! - Free Raw Recipe

If you want to eat healthy but still enjoy ice cream-like desserts there is a great, easy, raw pineapple ice cream dessert you can make. Raw fooders have been making this ice cream for a long time and it's a great standby raw recipe. It isn't really made with cream but the texture is that of ice cream, sorbet or sherbet. It's a real surprise when you make it for the first time.

It's simple and one of the easiest recipes to make if you want to eat healthy and want your family, friends and guests to eat healthy too. The kids love it. I have served it many times and no one even guessed that it wasn't really ice cream in fact people ask for it over and over again when they come to visit or when I serve it at events.

Of course it's a little hard to take to potlucks unless you're having it at home because it needs to be kept frozen. It's best served right after you make it. I often make it after my family or guests have arrived, but you don't have to. You can make it ahead of time and just keep it in the freezer.

Pineapple is one of most nutritious foods on the planet. It contains carbohydrates, proteins, fats, water, calcium, phosphorous, iron, magnesium, potassium, sodium, chlorine, sulphur and manganese. It has high amounts of vitamin C and has vitamin A, B1 and B2 among others. The proteolytic (protein-digesting) enzyme bromolain (sometimes spelled bromolin) is responsible for healing and curing many diseases and conditions and new discoveries are made for it all the time.

Pineapple can stop or lessen inflammation in the body. It's been used for arthritis - both osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, and to help repair tissues after injuries. Many people with hand and joint pain claim it has stopped arthritic pain in their fingers etc. It has been used for diabetic ulcers and to speed healing after surgery.

Pineapple can help digestion and is often used in some countries following the evening meal. It breaks down protein easily easing the demand on the body for its reserve supply of enzymes. It reduces blood clotting and can helps reduce or remove plaque from the artery walls.

Raw Food Recipes! Mashed Ca-Taters and Seed "Tuna"

So here's what we had for dinner last night...

You want to start this one early - I started preparing a seed loaf the morning before...and this is what I did:

I took 1c flax seeds to 1c sunflower seeds and finely ground them, threw them in a dish and added my dry-ish spices: 2 tsp. cumin seeds, 1 1/2 tsp. terragon (or 1/4 bunch), 1/2 tsp. cayenne, 1 tsp paprika, 2 tsp. red pepper flakes, some mustard powder (optional) and mixed it all up together. I'll warn you, this combination of spices was very tasty and potent. Finally I added my liquid ingredients 2-3 Tbsp. Bragg's or Nama Shoyu and 1 1/2 Tbsp. Cold-Pressed Olive Oil then just continue to add water until it's thick but cohesive.

Turn Up the Heat on Your Raw Food Recipes

There are many ways to make your raw food dishes spicy. Here are some of my favorites: Jalapenos, habanera, serrano, banana, scotch bonnet, Thai peppers, chilies, cayenne, and the list goes on. There are over 20 varietals of peppers and not all of them are hot but they do add tons of flavor to dishes. You can use these in their raw state or dehydrated state for your recipes. Either way they will both taste great and add tons of flavor, color, and health benefits. Just remember that a little goes a long way! It is also a good idea to use gloves when cutting them so that you won't forget later and rub your eyes because some of those peppers can be very potent.

Peppers are beneficial to the body because they have Vitamin A, C, and K plus a good amount of fiber. Peppers help prevent cell damage, inflammation, asthma, cancer, decrease cholesterol, reduce ulcers, support immune function and can help with weight loss. They only have between 10-20 calories per serving but they add so much flavor and so many health benefits to your body. How can you not love them?

Try Out Raw Food Classes For Delicious Raw Food Recipes

Raw food classes and guide books are becoming fairly common these days as more and more people try to learn how to eat and live a healthy life. Most of the raw food classes are online and exist in the form of forums and web boards. The other way to learn good vegan food recipes is by buying raw food cookbooks and trying out the recipes in them.

Most vegan food enthusiasts support this "way of life" tooth and nail and will never go back to living the way they use to for anything. Also many raw food classes online will discourage eating any cooked food at all as they believe that cooked food can destroy the nutritional contents of the food; there is plenty of scientific evidence pointing to this fact.

Raw Food Recipes for Beginners - Super-Energizing Breakfast Smoothies!

One of the most common complaints I receive from people concerning transitioning to a raw food diet is how complicated the recipes are. So many contain ingredient lists a mile long and either requires a twelve-step process to make or twelve hours of dehydrator time. Few people have the time to plan meals twelve hours in advance and these complex recipes can be quite daunting for even the most experienced raw-foodies, let alone a beginner.

That being said, some of the most delicious recipes I have encountered are the least complicated you will come by. These raw food recipes for beginners have become staples to my daily diets and encourage great nutrition, amazing taste, while requiring very minimal preparation time.

One such recipe is my super-energizing breakfast smoothie. Called "green drinks" or "green smoothies" among many in the raw food community, this recipe provides amazing, mind-clearing energy through raw, all natural, core nutrients that can be found right in your refrigerator.

Raw Food - Recipe Suggestions If You Decide to Go Raw

When you consider making the change to a raw food lifestyle, you are faced with having to change your 'cooking' abilities. Eating a raw food diet is not just a matter of 'not cooking' the things you previously ate, but it will require that you to learn a new way of food preparation and you will need a whole range of new recipes or you will find that you get bored with the diet after only a few days, after all; who wants to eat the same salad three times a day for several days?

Understanding precisely what you should eat is the basic knowledge you need. Simple said you need to make sure that 80% of your calories come from fruit, 15% from nuts and 5% from vegetables. This way it is easy to get enough calories (eating just vegetables will starve you) and in addition you will reach an optimal balance between the nutrients your body needs.

To get started and get an idea of the kind of meals you will eat once on the diet we provide some recipe suggestions.

Raw Food Recipes - Delicious Breakfast Cereal

Today I want to tell you about a really delicious breakfast cereal that I make for myself several times a week. It's amazing and it's all raw. The reason I want to share this with you is because a lot of cereals out there; packaged and processed cereals, even though they say they are healthy, they're really not! When you look at the list of ingredients, usually the ingredients include gluctose-fructose or high fructose corn syrup, wheat, gluten, colourings, or any number of things that you don't want to put into your body. All of these things cause irritation in the body and they are not something you want to consume, especially on a daily basis.

If you see commercials for healthy cereals, I urge you to really think about what they are trying to sell to you. What I want to share with you today is how you can prepare an unbelievable cereal that is raw and takes literally under 5 minutes to prepare. It is full of whole foods that are going to nourish you throughout the day and get your day started off as best as possible. A lot of people say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but I'm not too sure that I necessarily agree. Every meal is important. Your health is important.
